The past two weeks...

It's summer and it's HOT outside.
We like to play with play-doh. and build towers...
"I tink it fall ober," she said.

She was right. It did "fall ober."

Mike's 8 night/9 day international trip went well, minus missing his connecting flight in Chicago on the way (due to weather), so he had to spend the night in Chicago, fly to NYC the next day to get the only flight out to the country that evening...thus, the airline lost his luggage and it didn't return to him until the evening before he left to come back to the states. He got to do a little international shopping while he was there for some extra clothes....
Here he is with the hotel employee who diligently called the airlines/airport every day to check on the status of his bag. Bless his heart.

Little Miss Blue Eyes is just as sweet as she can be. She started sleeping through the night the night Mike left to go on his big trip. About 5 days later, she went through a growth-spurt for a couple of days, but then has gone right back to sleeping 9-10 hours a night (either sleeping completely through the night, or waking up at 5:30 am to eat, then going right back to sleep). I'll take it.

And we both made it through my first day back at work earlier this week. I was a little nervous that she wouldn't do well with taking a bottle, but she did fine! It was much easier dropping her off that morning with Lucy because the same sweet women who took care of Lucy when she was a baby are now taking care of Annie.

What we've been doing lately....

Mike is out of town until next Friday night,  (yep, 8 nights, 9 days on my own with two little ones!) so I came up with lots of activities for us to do so we won't be bored...

Aunt Liz and Grandmommy have been alternating nights to come and help with bath time/ bed time while Mike has been gone. SUCH a HUGE blessing!!
And, of course, lots of fun!

This little one has been sleeping like a rock star lately!! Slept through the night two nights ago, and is going 9-10 hours between feeds at night!! Yay!!!
(Of course, now that I say that, she'll probably go back to waking up once a night again....)

Before Mike left to go out of town, we enjoyed a date night at Whisky Cake- quite yummy!

Can't get enough of this little sweetie! Amazed by her blue eyes, sweet personality, and loving that she is a little cuddle bug!

Lucy started swim lessons at Emler last week- she did FANTASTIC with her first lesson!! No tears, just jumped right in and was super excited!

Two months old!

Hi, peeps, I'm two months old!
I started smiling and cooing this month- it's pretty cute!

I've got skills- I can hold my head up really well, and even prop myself up on my arms when I do my tummy time.
I even started ROLLING OVER from my tummy to my back. At first my Mommy thought this was a fluke when I did it the first time, but it wasn't, and I've keep rolling! My big sister, Lucy, thinks it's fun to roll next to me on the floor.

Here's the obligatory monkey picture my Mommy makes me take.

My big sister loves me a lot. She likes to hold me, likes to come up to me and say, "Hi, sister! How are youuuu?" in a high voice. She still can't (or chooses not to!) say my name right and calls me "Amy." But Mommy has tricked her and has started calling me Annie Bear, and Lucy will now call me Annie Bear as well.

My Mommy loves that I wake up once a night, most nights! I usually go to sleep for the night around 9:00 pm, then wake up around 2:00 am and go right back to sleep after I eat, then wake up for the day around 6:30 am.
I take lots of cat naps through out the day- one or two of them lasts an hour or more, but most are 30-45 minutes.
I sleep really well in the car seat as well as in Mommy's Beco carrier.
I typically sleep in the Fisher Price bassinet and seem to really like it.

Here I am with my Mommy and big sister, Lucy.

I still have my blue eyes! It's one of my Mommy's favorite things about me!
I'm also usually pretty happy, except when I'm hungry or tired. Prevacid is kind-of working for my reflux- I'm not screaming like I used to after feeds.
When I went for my 2 month appointment today, I weighed 11 pounds, 8 ounces (50th percentile) and was 22.5 inches (50th percentile) and my head circumference was also in the 50th percentile.
I am currently wearing size 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.
I love my paci when I'm upset or tired, and I fall asleep best when Mommy rocks me in the glider.
I'm pretty sweet-spirited!
